One-on-one sessions to address your nutritional concerns and/or challenges, set goals, and reconnect with the joy of food! Our meetings may cover managing or helping to prevent chronic conditions; addressing eating behaviors that interfere with quality of life; maintaining optimal nutrition on special diets (including plant-based or medically prescribed); shopping and cooking for health and wellness; and more. The direction of the sessions is guided by you and your health goals. Includes full nutritional assessment and collaborative problem-solving. Book an appointment or free discovery call to find out if nutritional counseling is right for you!

I am trained in the FODMAP elimination and reintroduction protocol for managing IBS symptoms, and can help you navigate the process while maintaining proper nutrition and quality of life. IBS is typically diagnosed once other digestive disorders have been ruled out with medical testing, such as for diverticulosis, celiac disease, Crohn’s disease, or ulcerative colitis. Dietary management is the main course of treatment for IBS, with FODMAP elimination and reintroduction proving one of the most effective routes to reducing symptom frequency and severity. For those without IBS, I can also help you identify triggers and find relief if you are experiencing frequent diarrhea, constipation, bloating, or acid reflux. (Note: Because it is an ongoing and collaborative process, for the FODMAP protocol only, you must book a starter package of three sessions: 75 minute initial appointment and two 30 minute follow-ups. See the Appointments page for more information.)

If you have been diagnosed with diabetes or prediabetes, you might be feeling a bit overwhelmed and stressed out. (And did you know that stress alone can increase your blood sugar?) You have been told that keeping your blood sugar in the healthy range is crucial to preventing complications. But how? Perhaps you were given a handout about carbs, but there’s so much more to the picture! Whether your diagnosis is new or if you’ve been managing the condition for years, I can help you stress less and find foods and strategies that work for your lifestyle and tastes and keep you healthy.

Let me help you communicate with your readers, clients, or patients clearly and effectively! Since then, I have been an editor, writer, and editorial consultant for magazines, independent publishers, and businesses, published two books with Workman Publishing, and currently serve as a recipe developer. I am available to write or edit nutrition-related content, for recipe developing/editing/testing/analysis, and consultation or editorial services for dietitians and health professionals.
